To host our guests in an atmosphere that illustrates the grand lifestyle of the Rana era mixed with the original architectural heritage of Newar, Mustang and Terai cultures. Though modest in size the property is attached to Baber Mahal Revisted complex. Acting as an extension to the Vilas, Revisited offers a host of shops offering quality traditional products, and some of the finest dining options in the city.

Baber Mahal Vilas is a quaint family-run boutique property set in the existing architectural haven of Baber Mahal Revisited. Guests feel indulged and cared for with splendid luxury, passionate service, generous hospitality and exquisite cuisine. In an effort to portray the distinct architectural features of Nepal in an blend of architectural design, the property shows 4 distinct styles.

The primary design is essentially neoclassical ‘Rana Durbar’ style, followed by flavors from Newari, Mustang and Terai designs. The new courtyard offers 13 rooms with amenities and services to match. Sharing the neighborhood with Singha Durbar (Lion Palace) and the original Baber Mahal, the hotel is rich in historic significance to its central location in the City.

ROYAL SUITES
These Suites illustrates the Rana era décor reflecting the Victorian culture prevalent during the Rana regime

HERITAGE SUITES
These Suites are in the Mustang section of the property, and hence reflects the traditional Buddhist décor. This is illustrated in the Buddhist art work on the furniture and the wall paintings.

TRADITIONAL SUITES
One suite has a Victorian finish while the other two suites provide the guest a Traditional Newari feel with its decor.

TRADITIONAL ROOM
These rooms are located in the Newari section of the property, and hence blends with the traditional décor of the Newari culture.

We specialize in the authentic Nepalese durbar cuisine at Jyunar

JYUNAR
An all day dining inside the hotel premises. Offers delicious Nepali cuisine catered to our clients with an ambience of tradition and heritage. The menu can be enjoyed either in the restaurant area or on the roof top swimming pool area with a view of the surrounding mountains.

SURYA BAR
A small quaint bar inside the hotel premises that offers our top of the line collection of Drinks. It offer all day snack menu to go perfectly with your drinks. The menu can be enjoyed either in the restaurant area or on the roof top swimming pool area with a view of the surrounding mountains.

Swimming Pool – Relax in the pool that is on the roof top of the property and views of the surrounding mountains. The pool is at a 4 ft depth with an infinity edge featuring hand carved pillars and traditional etched glass.

Library – We host a collection of historical and cultural books that portrays not only Nepal but the property itself. Enjoy loosing your self in these stories in a comfortable setting that takes you to by gone era.

WiFi – Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel. Wi-fi use is free of charge in designated areas, and available for a small surcharge throughout the hotel. Wi-Fi coupons are complimentary for our suite guests.
